「グローカル化」に焦点を当て、日本発「カワイイ」現象を歴史的・考現学的に研究し、「カワイイ」の解体と再構築の可能性を提示することを制作コンセプトとする。
自作のタイトルである<東京少女>を通して言葉や国の枠を超えて、新たな「カワイイ・カルチャー」の発信を挑戦していく。
Japanese women are the focus of Nei Neiʼs work.
The concept driving her paintings is the connection between modern Japanese KAWAII culture and the
aesthetic sense that has been hidden in it since ancient times in Japan.
Nei Nei has been greatly influenced by Japanese art such as Japanese decorative patterns, Yakusha-e,
Okubi-e, and Rinpa.
