1993年、神奈川県生まれ。ピクセルアーティスト。
レトロゲームに用いられ、近年NFTの登場とともに「古くて新しい」グラフィックスタイルとして注目されているピクセルアートを用いて、GIFアニメーションを制作している。
maeが描く、どこにでもあるような町並や心象風景に流れる時間は、GIFアニメーションであるが故に、記憶の様に何度も同じ場面をリピートしている。そこに差す光の表現は、ピクセル画像特有の解像度の荒さとは対照的なリアリティと、デジタルデータの無機質さとは裏腹な世界に対する祝福を湛えている。
他にもキャラクターシリーズ「Drools & Pixels」、ゆずの楽曲「ALWAYS」のMV作成など、幅広いスタイルのピクセルアートを展開している。
完全審査制のNFTプラットフォーム"SuperRare"で作品を販売している数少ない日本人アーティストである。2020年に世界中のピクセルアーティストが集う「Shibuya Pixel Art Contest 2020」にて最優秀賞受賞。

mae creates GIF animations using pixel art, an “old yet new" graphic style originating in retro games and receiving increasing attention with the advent of NFT in recent years. The time that flows through the ordinary cityscapes and imagined sceneries that mae depicts repeat the same moments over and over, just like a memory, due to the nature of GIF animations. The light that shines upon these scenes expresses a reality that contrasts with the rough resolution of pixel images, and evokes a sense of blessing to the world despite the inorganic nature of digital data.
He has developed a wide range of pixel art styles, including the character series "Drools & Pixels" and the music video for Yuzu's song “ALWAYS".
He is one of the few Japanese artists to sell his work on "SuperRare", and was awarded the Grand Prize at the "Shibuya Pixel Art Contest 2020," an international competition for pixel artists.
